March/April  Mailing

Ladies of the Auxiliary:

I want to thank everyone for making our Mid-Winter Conference a success.  It was wonderful to see some new faces and hope that everyone will encourage more unit members to come to June Convention.

I would like to thank everyone for your patience while we are still without a secretary in the office.  We are in the process of hiring someone for this position and hope it will be filled soon.  Everyone that is helping to keep our office running as it should, a big THANK YOU goes out to you.  Just remember that if you have any questions regarding membership to contact Sharon Neville or Betty Moore, with Finance contact Linda Laws or Janice MacLeod and any other information you may contact me.  We are here to help you in any way we can.

We now have some new courses on the ALA Academy on the National Website.  One is on Service Not Self Leadership, and another on Establishing Goodwill.   You can just go to the National Website, alaforveterans.org and click on members only.   Then you just click on ALA Academy.  There will also be a conduct guide on how to approach members on disciplinary actions and National hopes it will be completed before National Convention.

I hope everyone is ready and geared up for our District Meetings.  Please encourage your members to attend.  There is so much information we can learn from each other and it is a wonderful time to tell what all you have been doing for the veterans.  I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the meetings.

Remember “BEE Kind”, “BEE Helpful”, and “BEE Respectful” to each other.

I appreciate everything everyone is doing for our Veterans.
